Trident Honda is delighted to announce that it has been awarded its Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) accreditation.

The Electric Vehicle Approved (EVA) scheme has been developed by the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) to recognise retailers' excellence in the electric vehicle sector. EVA is endorsed by the Government's Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) and Energy Saving Trust.

Honda is further accelerating its electrification plans for Europe by moving forward its goal for all of its European mainstream models to feature electrified powertrains by 2022. The bold new target announced during an 'Electric Vision' event in Amsterdam, is three years ahead of the previously announced 2025 goal, demonstrating the confidence Honda has in its electric and hybrid powertrain technology.

This acceleration will see 6 electrified models launched over the next 36 months, with the Honda e and new hybrid-only Jazz leading the way.

Honda took to the stage at Geneva to announce the further acceleration of its electrification ambitions. The company announced its intention to move 100 per cent of its European sales to electrified powertrains by 2025. This new ambition builds on the brand's 2017 aim of two-thirds of its sales to be electrified by 2025, and places it firmly at the forefront of Honda's global electrification shift announced as part of its 2030 vision.

Honda's new urban electric vehicle will be previewed at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show in the form of the Honda e Prototype. This new model leads on from the brand's highly acclaimed 2017 Urban EV Concept, and is a key part of Honda's Electric Vision strategy.

An international panel of automobile experts has named the Honda Urban EV Concept as 'The Best Concept Car' in the renowned 2018 Car Design Award honours, presented today as part of the Turin Motor Show.

Honda took the opportunity at its 2018 Geneva Motor Show press conference to confirm that order books for a production version of its Urban EV Concept will open in early 2019.

Speaking during Honda's 2018 Geneva motor show press conference, Senior Vice President, Honda Motor Europe, Philip Ross confirmed the news:

A production version of this highly acclaimed concept will be introduced to Europe during late 2019, and in response to the positive feedback to this model, we expect to open order banks for the Urban EV during early 2019.

Honda has unveiled its Cooperative Mobility Ecosystem concept at CES 2017 in Las Vegas connecting the power of artificial intelligence, robotics and big data to transform the mobility experience of the future and improve customers' quality of life. Featuring a number of prototype and concept technology demonstrations at CES, the Honda concept envisions a future where vehicles will communicate with each other and infrastructure to mitigate traffic congestion and eliminate traffic fatalities, while increasing the productivity of road users and delivering new types of in­vehicle entertainment experiences. Vehicles will create new value by providing services autonomously when not in use by their owners.

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. will exhibit the world premiere of the EV-STER, the next-generation electric small sports concept model, at the 42nd Tokyo Motor Show 2011, which will take place at Tokyo Big Sight from Saturday December 3 through to Sunday December 11 2011.

Featuring a dynamic and innovative styling design and excellent environmental performance, the EV-STER, an electric rear-wheel-drive two-seater convertible sports car, will propose a new way to enjoy a sports type model which is unique to the electromotive mobility. The adoption of carbon materials made it possible to reduce the vehicle weight contributing to the vehicle's high driving performance and range of approximately 160km. The easy-to-operate twin-lever steering was adopted for the thorough pursuit of the joy of driving. Moreover, the new concept model enables the driver to make their own adjustments to some vehicle characteristics such as motor output and suspension settings.
