Trident Honda

Only a few cakes left

We are today, Friday 20th October, holding a Mufti for Michael day in remembrance of our founder Michael Roberts and to raise money for the Woking Hospice, who cared for Michael so well towards the end of his life.

Thank you to all our team for supporting the event, and especially to Alex Russell, who kindly volunteered to bake cakes for a cake sale. Sadly there are very few left now (see photo opposite)!

In all we believe that we will have collected around £350 for this wonderful cause today.

Official pictures have been released of the Honda CR-Z concept, the first hybrid with seriously sporting pretensions.

Honda is set to unveil it at this year's Tokyo motor show in late October and, despite the 'concept' tag, Honda sources say that it's nine-tenths production ready and will be in UK showrooms by the summer of 2010.

We are delighted to announce that our Forecourt have changed milk supplier to a local company, West Horsley Dairy.

Better still we have, as a result, been able to reduce our prices across the board, with 1 pint now costing just 69p, 1 litre now costing £1.35 and 2 litres now costing £2.25.

Trident Honda Ottershaw

We believe that Trident Honda is a very special business indeed. Established in 1963 by Michael Roberts, Trident Honda is today managed by his sons - Richard is our managing director, Christopher is our finance and IT director and James is our director of used car operations.

But Trident Honda is much more than just a family business, Trident Honda also benefits from an astonishingly low staff turnover - this means that you will always recognise our team and very likely be recognised in return.

We are delighted to announce that, after 25 years with the same telephone system, Trident Honda will tomorrow be going live with a shiny new and modern telephone system!

Why are we changing?

Over the past 25 years Trident Honda has benefited from having a telephone system with bulletproof reliability; but, following the merger of our Weybridge dealership with Ottershaw, it is fair to say that our telephone system has on occasion struggled to cope with peak call volumes.

HONDA IS supplying ammunition to drivers of its 4x4s in the first concerted effort by a car-maker to combat the growing antagonism towards gas-guzzlers.

The Swindon maker is to send a letter and stickers to all new customers of the new CR-V to help them defend themselves from 4x4 detractors. It is a direct response to concerned Honda customers asking for help, says the car-maker.

The Woking & Sam Beare Hospices are holding their annual black tie Dove Ball event on Saturday 11th November at the Oatlands Park Hotel in Weybridge.

Once again Trident Honda will be supporting the event, with a donation of two VIP tickets to the 2018 British Touring Car Championship with Honda. The British Touring Car Championship always delivers seat of the pants racing for spectators and is a great day out. Honda finished the 2017 season in 2nd place in the Constructors' Championship and, with the stunning new Type R, is expected to do even better next season.

At the start line - and they're off!

On Friday 28th September over 500 ladies took the streets around Woking to take part in the eight mile Midnight Walk 2018.

The atmosphere was amazing as ladies of all ages gathered at Woking Leisure Centre ready to take on the challenge, walking together to remember loved ones and to raise vital funds for the hospice. The room was filled with glow-in-the dark t-shirts and flashing bunny ears as the lights were dimmed to observe a minute's silence before the walk began at 10pm.

Trident Honda sponsored this year's event and they also sponsor the annual Dragon Boat Race that takes place at Goldsworth Park Lake just around the corner from Woking Hospice.

Richard Roberts, managing director of Trident Honda, comments:

The Woking Bikeathon, sponsored by Trident Honda, is being held on Sunday 12th May, 2013, with two routes both starting and finishing at Bishop David Brown School, Sheerwater.

Both routes go through New Haw and Chertsey, they then split with the longer route going through Egham, Chobham and Horsell, the short route returning to Woking via Ottershaw.
