On 9 January 2012 Acura (a division of Honda operating in the US and Canada) announced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit that an all-new NSX supercar will be manufactured in Ohio. In addition, the new sports car will be developed in the U.S., including the Ohio Center of Honda R&D Americas, Inc. (HRA).

Featuring a dynamic and innovative styling design and excellent environmental performance, the EV-STER, an electric rear-wheel-drive two-seater convertible sports car, will propose a new way to enjoy a sports type model which is unique to the electromotive mobility. The adoption of carbon materials made it possible to reduce the vehicle weight contributing to the vehicle's high driving performance and range of approximately 160km. The easy-to-operate twin-lever steering was adopted for the thorough pursuit of the joy of driving. Moreover, the new concept model enables the driver to make their own adjustments to some vehicle characteristics such as motor output and suspension settings.
American Honda has unveiled the U.S. version of the 2012 Honda CR-V at the LA Auto Show. This fourth-generation CR-V will go on sale in America from 15 December 2011.
The European version of the fourth-generation CR-V, developed and designed specifically for the European market, will be launched in Autumn 2012 and will be produced at Honda's UK manufacturing facility in Swindon. Honda has unveiled an all-new ASIMO humanoid robot with a world-first technology allowing ASIMO to move without being controlled by an operator. With significantly improved intelligence and the physical ability to adapt to situations, ASIMO has taken another step closer to practical use in an office or public space.
Honda has also introduced a new task-performing robot arm. This experimental model was developed while applying multi-joint and posture control technologies to ASIMO. This robot arm can be controlled remotely to perform tasks in places which are difficult for people to access.

Honda has revealed prices for the new 2012 Civic will range from £16,495 OTR for the entry-level 1.4-litre 100PS i-VTEC SE and from £26,595 OTR for the top of the range Civic 2.2 i-DTEC EX GT. The car will also be available in the familiar SE, ES, EX and EX GT trim levels offering customers generous equipment as standard.
