Honda Jazz

Friday, 9 December 2016 at 12.52PM

The new Jazz has an updated, sportier design. All built with performance in mind.

For 2016, the Jazz is home to distinctive new styling - including a new face with a bold front grille, sculpted bumpers, and strong, sweeping lines. All round, it's a powerful new look.

The Jazz keeps its classic silhouette, but the stronger, tougher design has grown the chassis to improve legroom for rear-seat passengers. Each curve and arch has been purposefully refined to improve both fuel efficiency and handling, too.

With a much lower profile than before, the Jazz's chassis also has an enhanced centre of gravity. The body sits on steel or alloy wheels that finish the sporty look - choose whichever suits you best.

Honda is most reliable European car brand

Tuesday, 16 February 2016 at 12.00AM

The European Organisation of Consumers and Users (OCU) has carried out a survey with more than 30,000 European drivers asking about the reliability of their cars. According to this survey Honda is the most reliable brand, with users choosing the Honda Jazz as the most reliable vehicle.

The OCU received more than 70,000 evaluations from drivers, to determine the common malfunctions on each car. These malfunctions were then weighted by severity. Based on these results Honda was the most reliable brand.

According to the survey malfunctions are surprisingly common, with 16% of drivers being left stranded and Alfa Romeo, Dodge and Ssangyong were the most likely to have suffered a breakdown.

Honda Motor Europe's Senior Vice President, Philip Ross, says:

Reliability and quality are synonymous with the Honda brand. It is important for Honda to ensure that customers can experience the joy of owning a Honda vehicle and enjoy driving then with the peace of mind that the cars are among the least likely to experience breakdowns.

The highest rated vehicle was the Honda Jazz 1.2 (last time it was the Honda Jazz 1.4!).

Thursday, 5 May 2011 at 12.00AM

Roadtestreports.co.uk have named the Honda Jazz Hybrid as their Car Star of the Month.

Previously selected as their Car Star back in October 2009, the Jazz earns itself a moment in the spotlight once again, mainly on the merit of becoming Honda's latest hybrid model.

Although the new Lime Green colour isn't flavour of the month, overall Road Test Reports remarks:

It is a win-win whether you opt for the smooth and fuel sipping hybrid model or just a regular petrol drinker

Back by popular demand, the new Jazz is now available with automatic Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT). It adapts seamlessly to different driving speeds, keeping the engine in the most efficient and economical power range. The performance is strong and smooth, even at low speeds, and if you're stopped on a slope the Hill Start Assist prevents you rolling backwards.

If you prefer a more hands-on drive, there is a conventional 5-speed manual gearbox with a new Jazz petrol Manual. Both the 1.2 and the 1.4 i-VTEC engines combine impressive fuel economy and low emissions with a great driving experience.

Three of Honda's cleanest cars will compete in the very first RAC Future Car Challenge in November. The new Honda Jazz Hybrid has been entered in the Brighton to London event, alongside the hydrogen-powered FCX Clarity fuel cell car and a sporty hybrid CR-Z.

Starting at Madeira Drive in Brighton, the Future Car Challenge uses the traditional 60 mile veteran car run route, but in reverse. The three Honda cars will be retracing the route taken by Honda Motor founder, Soichiro Honda, when he tackled the London to Brighton event in 1985.

All participating cars in the Challenge are measured on the energy they use on the route, with those using the least energy over the 60 mile run crowned the winners.
