The Honda Jazz has been named Most Reliable Small Car in What Car? magazine’s 2017 Reliability Survey, with the owners of the popular supermini reporting no faults with their car.

The survey - published in the December issue of Britain’s leading consumer automotive magazine - asked owners of 14,208 cars to ask if their cars had suffered any faults in the last 12 months.

These were classified into 14 groups: battery, bodywork, brakes, engine electrics, exhaust, exterior lights, fuel system, gearbox/clutch, interior trim, non-engine electrics, steering, suspension and other. The cost and length of the repair were also used to weight the severity of the fault and create a reliability rating.

The magazine reports:

Not one Honda Jazz owner who completed the survey reported any faults with their car, giving the little Japanese hatchback a perfect reliability score.

Some more good news about Honda!

Monday, 5 July 2010

The most reliable cars sold in the UK are made by Japanese brands, according to the latest Warranty Direct and What Car? survey.

For the fifth year Honda topped the annual car reliability study, with just 7 per cent requiring repairs in a 12 month period.

The research comes from Warranty Direct's 50,000 live policies on cars aged three to 10-years old. Warranty Direct carried out exhaustive research to reveal the nature of the repairs carried out on every model - from faults with the electrics, brakes and suspension to problems with the engine, transmission, or heating and cooling systems.

It was found that no Honda in the survey suffered from brake, engine or cooling system faults. Honda had the second lowest average repair bill and a low average repair time.

In addition to receiving a 5 star reliability rating, the final verdict was that Honda owners could sleep easily at night.

Let's face it, who doesn't want a good nights sleep?

Unsurprisingly the Honda Jazz picked up the crown for small cars; Honda Civic came third in the lower-medium segment; Honda CR-V was rated the top SUV.

Well done Honda!
