Trident Ottershaw Launches Valet Parking

Thursday, 3 May 2007 at 12.00AM

Following customer feedback on our customer car parking, we held a meeting to review ways of improving our parking. One result of this meeting was the introduction of a valet parking attendant at peak times. This was launched on Thursday 3 May and is proving very popular with our customers, as well as improving the general parking.

Weybridge has a more serious problem, given the town centre location and the limited space available, and we are therefore recruiting a full-time parking attendant. We hope to have this new member of staff available in the coming weeks and feel sure that this will greatly improve the customer experience on arrival.

We have today gone live with a wireless hotspot service at Ottershaw. This enables our customers to connect to the Internet free whilst waiting in the customer waiting area. If successful we will launch the service at Weybridge as well.

Trident Ottershaw joins the World of Honda

Trident Garages is well known locally as a long-established family business, with dealerships in Ottershaw and Weybridge. The Trident name has long been associated with MG Rover; but, after 42-years, it is all change at Trident, as the last of its MG Rover dealerships, based at Ottershaw, has now joined the World of Honda.

We visited Trident Ottershaw as the last of the Honda signs were being erected, and there was a real buzz amongst the staff. The showroom looked thoroughly modern, following its renovation last year, with additional design touches now being introduced by Honda.

Trident's managing director, Richard Roberts, says:

Trident Garages Limited is Incorporated

Michael Roberts, his brother-in-law John Peirsonsmith and father-in-law Ian Maybury incorporated Trident Garages Limited.

Michael Roberts writes:

It happened also at this time that Ian Maybury, Valerie's stepfather, said he would be interested in funding a garage enterprise and I agreed to look for suitable businesses for sale.
