Honda took to the stage at Geneva to announce the further acceleration of its electrification ambitions. The company announced its intention to move 100 per cent of its European sales to electrified powertrains by 2025. This new ambition builds on the brand's 2017 aim of two-thirds of its sales to be electrified by 2025, and places it firmly at the forefront of Honda's global electrification shift announced as part of its 2030 vision.

Downslink Challenge hands cheque for £10,294.83 to Woking & Sam Beare Hospices

The Downslink Challenge, at the beginning of June, helped to raise more than £20,000 for the White Lodge Centre and Woking & Sam Beare Hospices.

This amazing event, sponsored by Trident Honda, started at the Garibaldi pub and travelled all the way to Brighton and back - a distance of 102 miles. Cyclists also had the option of starting in Brighton, thereby reducing the distance to a still amazing 51 miles. But some of the longer-distance riders extended it to a staggering 122 miles, by following a diversion on the way home.

Thanks to billions of pounds of investment by the motor industry, the latest Euro 6 diesels are the cleanest and safest ever, so it's good news that more people can now take advantage of them as they start to filter into the used car market (Used Euro6 Cars at Trident Honda). These models will not face charges anywhere in Britain under the government's Clean Air Zone proposals.

The A320 Guildford Road in Ottershaw will be closed during half-term week, 15 - 23 February, with the possibility of traffic lights the week after. The closure is for the purpose of major drainage works, from outside Trident Honda to the junction with Cross Lane (near the Church at the top of the hill).

During the closure, access will be maintained to Trident Honda from the Ottershaw roundabout.

Honda has developed a plant-based material to be used as a fabric in car interiors. The new fabric offsets all CO2 emissions produced during the disposal stage of the car, through the CO2 absorption that occurs naturally during the growth of the plants that are used as raw materials.

The new fabric will be first introduced into Honda's new fuel cell vehicle, the Honda FCX, which will be launched within the next three years. Honda says that the fabric could be used for seat surfaces as well as for the interior surfaces of the car.

Today, at our Ottershaw filling station, we are installing low energy LED canopy lighting. As part of our energy monitoring programme at Ottershaw, we are working to reduce our environmental impact, and hopefully reduce our costs at the same time!

The installation, carried out by Blueserve Facilities will be carried out in lanes, so that we will not be closing our forecourt at any time.
